Important Information

Intellectual Property Rights in your work - UAL does not claim any rights to use any text, files, images, photos, video, sounds, musical works, works of authorship, or any other materials that you post as part of your work to the UAL Online Portfolio Tool. You continue to retain all ownership rights in your work, and you continue to have the right to use your work in any way you choose.

Choose Media - this is where you can upload your files to, ready to paste into your portfolio. You can see thumbnails of your files in the Gallery.

Fonts - to change the font sizing and colour, highlight the text and right click for the options.

File types - we will only accept the following file types in your portfolio:

  • Images: bmp, gif, jpg, jpeg, png

  • Audio: mp3, mp4, ogg, wav, wma

  • Video: avi, mp4, mpg, mpeg, mov, wmv

File size - the maximum file size is 4000 pixels per file. Any files with higher pixels will be reduced.

File titles and descriptions - Before saving your files to the gallery, you can also give them titles - this will help identify files that have no thumbnail image such as movie files. Once you have uploaded your image, you may be required to name your files and/or provide descriptions. If there is an "Enter title and/or description here" text box below each file that you upload, please ensure you give every file a title and description.

Preview your portfolio - you can do this by clicking the button at the top of the page.

Do

  • submit your portfolio only when you are 100% happy with it - once you have submitted, you cannot add or edit your portfolio so we advise you to preview your portfolio first.

Don't

  • forget that your portfolio will determine if you go through to the next stage, so make sure that you read the requirements carefully and be as informative as possible in your descriptions.
